Vista Sound Pack
Make your XP sound like Windows Vista! Just unzip to C:\Windows\Media and enjoy!

IMPORTANT: When you extract to c:\Windows\Media it will OVERWRITE your current sound files. So back them up before running this file!

You can find your current sound files in C:\WINDOWS\Media so just make a copy of that folder before you run this file. Then if you ever want to restore your XP original files, just copy the contents of your backed-up Media folder back into C:\WINDOWS\Media.

UPDATE: Several complaints about a trojan in this file. I ran it through several scanners and found nothing. But just to be safe, I have repacked this file by stripping out the installer altogether. Now it is just a zip file containing the wav files so that should eliminate any possibility of getting a trojan due to the installer.

no trojan or virus for me .. i checked it twice by Kaspersky .
I have uploaded it @ rapidshare after scan . I am adding link here ,

It's not a trojan at all, just a normal sound pack. If someone has difficulties installing them, go to control panel, from there choose "sounds" and simply replace all the sounds from the package with the windows ones, that's all !!

how i do to make works this exe file, my sound's are the same as before...

even if i open the c:\windows\media and i look the sounds are the same

i think this is bullshit, just a waste of time

I like to download it, but everytime I try , it requested a user name & pass and then aborted by it self , why was that ?

This file no longer contains a virus folks. It does not automatically change the sound scheme for you, you must know how to do it yourself. So if you don't know what you're doing, don't bother.
