I installed some new themes this week and I keep getting an error message saying the" DLL for the theme tried to install in the wrong DLL folder and the programs won't work right. Please contact the DLL creator ".

Please see the attached screen shot for more information to let me know what I need to do to correct this.

Thanks

Quick search on Google turned up a link on Microsoft.com (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/935448/en-us) that has info on that error and a downloadable hotfix. I'd try that. I don't think it would be related to any theme you installed, but maybe a recent Windows Update or driver change.

Thank you I will try that, it is quite possible since I downloaded and installed IE8 around the same time.

FYI, I installed the IE patch and that didn't do the trick so I decided to uninstall the theme and now everything appears to working fine and I am not receiving that error message any more.

And just so you and other's are aware, it was the Windows 7 Remix theme that was giving me the error...maybe the developer needs to relook at it?
