I was enjoying my 3d look with my styles using StarSkin until I downloaded Media Center (http://www.belchfire.net/index.php?automodule=downloads&showfile=5193). All of a sudden I got a message saying the uxtheme could not be patched. I tried to patch again with no luck. I renamed the uxtheme.dll files and patched again with no luck. I reinstalled StarSkin and still, no luck. I found a folder in my Resources folder named Royale and clicked on it and my 3d look was back! This file is the same as the Media Center Style. When I right click on my desktop, this is the theme that is loaded. No other theme will work and I still get the message on the other themes that the uxtheme.dll is not patched.

The list under appearance is no longer listed in the display properties (at right click on desktop) or in the list in the visual styles in my StarSkin program. When I see the display window for the themes, there is a black box in the center of the image of all of them where ist supposed to say Message Box. When choosing Royale, I DO see the box.


Any suggestions on what happened and how I can fix this??

I was successful at using UXTheme Multi-Patcher 6.0 until this happened. Now it wont work.
