This is my first post, and I'm in need of help. I have a Microsoft Windows XP and the edition is Media Center 2002. I also have a Service Pack 3. I believe that i can't use StyleXP because it can't support the version of my system. Does anyone have any idea's on what i can do to change my Visual Styles and Themes.
Hi There KaliPrincess - you could also check out Windows Blinds 6 and Icon Packager 4 - which are available as Public Versions from STARDOCK SYSTEMS - These are part of the OBJECT DESKTOP suite of programs which enable you to change your skins, icons, boot screens, logons and much more (listen to me I sound like a Salesman LOL) The Public Versions do not expire but have some of the more advanced features turned off. I don't have the Media Centre Edition just plain old XP SP3 but as far as I am aware it will foot the bill. If I'm wrong then I'm sorry for (about Media Centre compatability) - then I am idiot and sorry for wasting your time - but only trying to help
If you check out my last post 'ONE OF MY DESKTOPS' there are attachments which will give you an idea of what type of skins and icons are available. There are thousands of them and all free. All available for free download at WINCUSTOMISE. The Premium Skins will cost you a minimal amount but they are really worth it. You can also see Premium Skins featured here at Belchfire. There are lots of other ways to skin a cat but these are a cinch to use and are both XP and VISTA compatable. Let me know how you get on with it all.
