Usually in posts of people's desktops I see that their taskbar is usually hidden and their quick-launch (I think) is usually displayed at the top of the desktop (Like a mac). What I want to know is how to do both. (I am using Style XP)

You just drag it basiclly...

Click center with no windows selected, drag it up/to a side... easy as that :)

oh okay thanks...Oddly enough I was trying that for a long time...but then i realized that I "locked the taskbar" ...stupid me
