How do I create a boot screen from scratch?

i have used 2 applications to build boot screens but through them you have to use an image for the boot screen now both tuneup utilities do that and my most recent one Style Xp so you can do it that way by creating the image you want to use them make the boot screen from style xp or tus you can customize the progress bar and a few other things also
