So you have Vista and are looking to customize it like you were able to with XP. Well bad news I'm afraid. While there does exist a
patched uxtheme.dll for Vista, there are few, if any, themes available for it. This is because no one has yet made any software that makes themes for Vista (using the native format).
And due to the new Vista Aero/Glass GUI, XP themes can't be loaded up on Vista either. And, you guessed it, no XP --> Vista theme converter either. Likely couldn't be done anyway.
So for now, looks like we're stuck with the default Aero/Glass look, which isn't bad. There aren't really any WindowBlinds themes either because everyone is waiting for SkinStudio v6. Except for
vStyler's excellent
Vienna for Vista WB theme. So until then, this is a call to all developers to craft a program to create and load Vista Themes and Visual Styles using Microsoft's native format (.theme, .msstyles, via uxtheme.dll patch).
