Well styleXP should have patched your uxtheme.dll file upon install. You have to then reboot, as I recall, for the changes to take effect. But if for some reason when you apply a theme or visual style only the background changes (not the taskbar or anything else), that's usually an indication that the patch failed, or Windows found a backup copy somewhere and overwrote the patched copy with a backup (it's a protected operating system file so it does that).

So if it doesn't work, try patching your uxtheme.dll file separately using Multipatcher, or replace your uxtheme.dll file manually with one that is already patched per our instructions here.

:) Hi I'm very new to all of this kinda downloading themes I read all the directions on how to patch and I downloaded the StarSkin dealy I'm now trying to download more themes but I can't seem to get the themes on the theme menu. I tryed to patch the theme dealy and when I searched for the uxtheme.dl_ files it said there were no files found. :huh: I'm so confuzzled it's not even funny. Could anyone please tell me what to do :blink: oh BTW this is a really cool site and the members who post seem nice too :D .

This is the best site ive ever seen for themes and stuff.I have tried other sites and they just dont compare.Now i dont know much about computers one and a half years of trial and error.And when i came across your site i wanted to make my pc look great like the ones on this site.And with a littel are no effort at all i had my desktop looking tricked out.All my nices and nephews love how i got mine looking. But now i find my self wanting to build themes and all the other.Could you tell me how to get software to build themes. And iam sure there are other people who dont have a credit card but they can buy things with a money order. Are how to donate with a money order.And were to send it. You all seem like a bunch of great guys. I hope i didnt bend your ears to much guys. From stobb In east Texas.You all take care.

When I click agree to download get taken to another page but download is faded out this then takes me to the error message screen
